Schedule and Timing:
The Calicut Flower show is held in the month of January.
Description:The annual flower show is organised by the Calicut Agri-Horticultural Society. The society aims to promote a culture that nurtures nature and flowers that makes the world around us a more beautiful place.
Thousands of flowers will be on display including imported varieties. Vegetables, fruit and medicinal plants are also exhibited.
Apart from Prominent Agricultural nurseries within and outside Kerala, govt enterprises like the Chelavoor Indian Spices Research Institute, Koothali District Agrifarm, Peruvannumuzhi Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Directorate of Arecanut & Spices Development at West Hill participate in the Calicut flower show.
Competitions related to nursery and gardening will be held as a part of the show.
Seeds of a number of varieties of plants and seedlings are available for sale at the stalls.
Gardening and nursery equipment are also kept for exhibition and sale and are usually available at discounted prices during the show.
Cultural programs are held in the evenings. The Calicut Agri-Horticultural Society has conducted over 40 flower shows.
Tickets / Registration:Entry restricted by pass. Entry is free for children.
