Department of Tourism organises Kerala folklore Festival, Utsavam 2018, the inauguration of which will be held at Town Square Kannur on January 6th at 6 PM. Folk art festivals will be held at 24 venues in the 14 districts of Kerala from 6th January 2018 to 12th January 2018.
As many as 150 folk art forms will be performed in these 28 venues by more than five thousand artists. A confluence of traditional art forms that will take you on a journey into the heart of local culture.
The programs are organised at the district level by the respective District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC).
The inaugural event at Kannur will honour 10 prominent traditional folk artists of Kerala. The inaugral event will have dignitaires from the cultural and political spheres. Shri. Kadakampilli Surendran Hon. Minister for Tourism and Devaswom will inaugurate the function.
