All days except Sunday: Morning Mass at 6.30 AM, morning rosary at 6.00 AM, evening mass at 5.15 PM. Novena of St. Sebastian is held every Thursday at 5 PM before the Holy Mass in the evening. Sundays: Morning mass at 6.00 AM, 7.15 AM and 10.30 AM and evening mass at 5.15 PM.
Confessions can be done during the morning and evening mass on all days except Sundays.
Nellikkunnu Palli Perunnal or the feast of St. Sebastian is on the first Saturday of the year, the following Sunday and Monday, In 2019, Nellikkunnu Perunnal is from 5th to 7th of January.
The Nellikkunnu Oottu Thirunal is celebrated on the St. Thomas day also called Dukhrana which is on July 3rd every year.
Description:Nellikkunnu Church is named after St.Sebastian. St.Sebastian is knows as a healer of small pox, a dreaded disease those days. There was a dumping ground of the people dead due to small pox near to this area called Vasuri parambu. People used to pray for the intercession of St.Sebastian and when a Parish was formed, there was no second thought in naming the Church.
Nellikkunnu is about 3 Kms from Swaraj, round towards east and is on the way to Nadathara and NH47 bypass. It got it's name as it was an elevated area with plenty of 'Nelli' or the Indian Goose berry trees in it.
Nellikkunnu church started as a chapel under the Lourde parish, but later became an independent parish in 1956 and now belong to the Lourde Forane. Later three independent parishes were spinned off from the erstwhile Nellikkunnu Parish, namely Kacheri Madona Nagar, Mariyapuram and Ollukkara.
Fr. Raphael Vadakkan is the Parish Vicar and Fr. Antony Menachery is the Asst. Vicar of the Nellikkunnu Parish.
