The Uravu Chakka Mahotsavam is held in the months of May/June.
Description:The Uravu Chakka Mahotsavam is organised by the Uravu Ecolinks, a non-governmental organisation. The Jackfruit festival is organised to promote the goodness of the Jack of Fruits and its different value-added products.
An estimated 50%of the jackfruit produced in the state is wasted which by very conservative estimates comes about 500 crores.
More than 200 different produces using jack fruit are available for exhibition and sale.
