Ayyappan Vilakku is conducted especially in the Ayyappa temples during the Mandalakalam which covers the Malayalam month of Vrishchikam and part of the month Dhanu.
Ayyappan Vilakku at Nellkkavu temple premises in Karaparambu, Kozhikode, will begin at 4pm on 16th Dec 2017. Caparisoned elephants, Thalappoli, Ayyappan pattu, late-night processions, Thiriuzhichil, Kanalaattam, Vettum Thadavum and Panchavadyam, brighten the event. The procession will start from near the English Church at Nadakkavu.
