Description:

Camels were a part of the Rajasthani life and the Camel Fair at Bikaner is a celebration of this culture. The Bikaner Camel Fair attracts a lot of foreign tourists. Several fun competitions are held in which the visiting tourists play as one side. It has all the elements of the village fair but in a more grandiose fashion.

Camel safari and ride is arranged for tourists at the Raisar village which is about 15 km from Bikaner on the Jaipur Highway between 8 am to 10 am on the opening day.

A ceremonial procession is held from the Junagarh Fort to the Karni SIngh Stadium, which is the main venue for the fair on the opening day between 11.30 am to 12.30 noon.
