Experimenta India is a biennial from 2007 usually held in November - December on odd number years.

Entries open by July and end in August.

Description:

Experimenta International Festival of Moving Image Art or the Experimenta Film Festival is a biennial event for promoting experimental cinema. Started in 2003 in Mumbai as an annual event, it became a biennial festival after the venue was shifted to Bengaluru in 2007.

Entries are open for experimental films and videos only. The winner will get the Adolfas Mekas award.

The film festival is organised by Experimenta India which was founded by filmmaker Shai Heredia, to provide a space for alternative cinema and experiments in filmmaking.
