It is also a festival time for the tribals as they bring in their forest resources as well as their traditional dance and music to the land. Elephant pageantry is also held near the temple premises.

A Tourism festival is organised by the Nilambur Municipality with village fair, cultural events, musical nights, tribal fair, entertainment rides etc. Often celebrities are called for entertainment events. The tourism festival attracts a large number of people in the area.
Nilambur Pattulsavam Legend
The tribal deity of Vettakkorumakan at Gudalur was taken to NIlambur as per the wishes of a member of the Nilambur Royal family. The tribals at that time were given a promise of worshipping the deity at the new abode once a year. This is celebrated as the Nilmabur Pattu Ulsavam.
