Schedule and Timing:
Puthu Njayar is the first Sunday after Easter. The three day festival programs as follows.
Friday Evening - Prayers followed by Parichamuttukali, Raza and Fireworks.
Saturday - Holy Munninmel Kurbana, Nercha Vilambu and evening prayers followed by cultural programs.
Sunday - Holy Kurbana, Raza procession around the Church. Cultural entertainments will follow evening prayers.
Description:Puthunjayar is the Sunday after Easter on which Jesus appeared to the disciples including Thomas who was not present at his earlier appearance and hence would not believe.
On Puthu Njayar the devotees wholeheartedly repeat the words of St Thomas, 'My God, my Lord', which he proclaimed, when he saw the resurrected Jesus.
