The She Pad program launched by the Govt. Of Kerala, aims to ensure the menstrual hygiene for girls studying in schools up to 12th standard. This will generally benefit girls up to the age of 18.
The project announced in 2017 November will be piloted in 300 schools from 114 panchayats across Kerala.
Free Sanitary napkins will be provided at select schools. Appropriate storage spaces, as well as environment-friendly incinerators, will be provisioned.
This year all schools of the Chavakkad Municipality will be provided with Free She Pad for girl students.
The She Pad project is a part of the NavaKeralam project of the Pinarayi Vijayan Govt.
