Description:Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda Museum at Thaikkattussery near Ollur is an audio-visual journey through the history of Ayurveda. It has a rich collection of artefacts, manuscripts, sculptures, documents, books and media related to the history and practice of Ayur Veda. The Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda Museum highlights are
- Sculptures of Lord Dhanwanthari, Adi Sankaracharya, Lord Buddha, Acharya Bagbhata with prayers to them inscribed.
- Audiovisual shows and presentations on Ayurveda in a 'Natyagruham'.
- The evolution of Ayurveda heritage, right from the mythological to the contemporary period.
- The classic treatment procedures of Ayurveda along with the Kerala specialities which were followed from yesteryears, and the initiatives to preserve and develop them for the future generations.
- A picture gallery and a collection of specimens of more than 300 medicinal plants and also depicting their medicinal properties.
- A Smruthi Mandapam showcasing the Ashtavaidya Eledath Thaikkattu Mooss.
- A library comprising of a vast collection of ancient pieces of literature, scriptures and manuscripts and traditional Ayurveda, including the ones used by the Ashtavaidyas.
- A digital library, along with the big CD collection on Ayurveda.
