Aranmula Valla Sadhya is on Ashtami Rohini or the Sri Krishna Jayanthi. Aranmula Valla Sadhya 2018 is on 2nd September 2018 which is the special Valla Sadhya Day. In 2018, the Valla Sadhya Vazhipadu is from 15th July 2018 to October 2nd 2018.
Description:Aranmula Valla Sadhya is the grand feast given to the oarsmen of the Palliyodams which is considered to be the vehicle of Lord Krishna. About 40 odd dishes are served and the rest of the dishes are served on demand. The demand to serve is in the form of interesting slokams and is an interesting part of the ritual. As per the legend, the oarsmen is considered Lord Krishna and whatever dish they ask, must be served.
Those who wish to book a Valla Sadhya Offering shall submit an application to Palliodakkara that owns the respective snake boat. Once accepted, they may book by paying the amount to the Palliyoda Seva Sanghom.
The devotees and public can take part in the Sadhya that lasts for over a month. The coupons for the public can be availed from the Palliyoda Seva Sanghom, the cost of which is usually around Rs.150.
