Arattupuzha Pooram is the yearly celebration at the Sastha or Ayyappa Temple at Arattupuzha Thrissur District in Kerala. It is celebrated in the Meenam month of the Malayalam calander. Arattupuzha Pooram 2018 date is March 29.
Arattupuzha is around 16 km south of Thrissur town town close to Thrissur - Kodungallur state highway. . The celebration starts on March 23, 2018 and ends on 29th March 2018. The major events falls on he last two days.
The deities venerated in the close-by temples visit Lord Sastha on the Arattupuzha pooram day. This is called Koottiyezhunnallippu or Devamela which is a parade of 23 deities.
The other main features the seven-day celebration are caparisoned elephants, Melam and the grand fireworks.
