Schedule and Timing:
Vadakkunnathan temple opens for morning darshan at 3.00 am and closes at 10.30 am.
Evening pooja timings are from 4.00 pm to 8.20 pm. The day's rituals end with Trippuka.
Vadakkunnathan Temple located at the centre of Thrissur City is dedicated to Lord Siva. It has four gopurams one each facing one of the four directions. It has typical Kerala Architecture style of construction. Inside the temple, there are several other shrines as well.
Vadakkumnathan is also the host to the famous Thrissur Pooram conducted in the April-May months, annually.
