Chettikulangara Bharani is held on the Bharani Nakshatra in the Malayalam month of Kumbham which is generally February / March.
Description:The Chettikulangara Kumbha Bharani is the annual festival held at the Chettikulangara temple during February / March. The temple here is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy.
The Kettukazhcha is what makes this event stand out from the other festivals of the state. It is a ceremonial procession of brightly decorated structures. The dazzlingly decorated structures; the bigger ones assumed as horses and the smaller ones as chariots and cultural performances are the highlights of this spectacular pageant.
