The feast of St George at Knanaya Jacobite Valiyapally Neelamperoor is on the 27th of the Malayalam month of Medam.
Description:St George was a military officer in the Roman Empire during the time of Diocletian. He became a martyr for not willing to renounce Christianity. He is believed to have killed a dragon or a big snake in the name of Jesus, that causing great misery to the people of one area.
