Schedule and Timing:
The main day of the Feast at Our Lady of Dolours Basilica, Thrissur is on the 4th Sunday of November. Feast begins on the Friday preceding the 4th Sunday and ends on the following Monday.
The Holy Mass timings and schedule as follows
Friday 23rd November
- 9.15 am, 5 pm and 7 pm - Novena, Mathapatha followed by Holy Mass
- 6.30 pm - Illumination Switch on ceremony
Saturday 24rd November
- 4.30 pm - Novena, Mathapatha and Holy Mass followed by Kooduthurakkal.
Sunday 25th November
- Holy Mass at 6 am and 7.30 am
- 10 am - Pontifical High Mass by Mar Andrews Thazhath
- 3.15 Holy Mass
- 4.30 pm - Rosary procession from Basilica to Cathedral Church, concluding at the Basilica at 6.30 pm.
- 6.30 pm - Vyakulam from Cathedral to Basilica begins.
- 7.30 pm - Vyakulam conclude at Basilica, Holy Mass
Monday 26th November
- Holy Mass at 6 am.
- 7.30 am Holy Mass, Commemorating the departed souls and special prayers at the cemetery.
- 5.30 pm - Novena, Mathapatha and Holy Mass.
The annual feast at the Shrine Basilica of our Lady of Dolours, Thrissur, will be held from 23rd November to 26th November 2018. The Shrine along with its perpetual adoration centre is a spiritual centre and one of the 23 basilicas in the country.
The entire basilica is illuminated on the festival days and is a visual treat.
