Schedule and Timing:
The annual festival date at Lourdes Church Thrissur is based on the second Sunday of November which is the main day of the festival. The festival begins on the Thursday preceding the Sunday and ends on the following Monday.
Saturday Schedule
- 7.30 am - Ladeenju, Holy Mass, Message, Novena, Nercha Distribution
- 5.00 pm - Ladeenju, Holy Mass, Message, Novena, Nercha and Rosary Procesion
- 10.00 pm - The Ambu from family units conclude at the church.
Sunday Schedule
- 6.00 am - Holy Mass, Message
- 7.30 am - Holy Mass, Message
- 10.00 am - Pontifical Mass
- 3.30 pm - Holy Mass followed by Procession at 4 pm to the Basilica and back to the cathedral.
- 6.30 pm - Kireedam Ezhunnellippu from the Basilica to the Cathedral church.
- 7.15 pm - Holy Mass
Monday Schedule
- 7.30 am - Holy Mass in remembrance of the departed souls
- 5 pm - Holy Mass
- 7 pm - Melam
- 8.30 pm - Charity fund distribution.
Lourde Palli Perunnal as it is called is the annual feast of Mary The Immaculate at the Lourdes Metropolitan Cathedral, Thrissur.
The feasts of St Joseph the model for families and also the patron of Workers, St Sebastian the patron saint for the healing of dreaded infectious diseases, and St Raphael patron of travellers and caring of the sick are also celebrated along with.
