Kochi Metro Train Timings:
Weekdays (Monday to Saturday) - First Train Aluva to Maharajas and Maharajas to Aluva starts from 6 AM. Last trains start at 10 PM.
Sunday - First Train Aluva to Maharajas and Maharajas to Aluva starts from 8 AM. Last train start at 10 PM.
Kochi Metro will cover the 18 Kms from Aluva to Maharajas in 30 Minutes. Each train will have 3 coaches and has a capacity of 975 passengers including the 140 seating capacity.
Tickets are QR coded which needs to be scanned before the entrance to the platform. A quick security check is done for all passengers and the hand luggage is passed through a scanner to ensure security. A return ticket can be bought simultaneously if needed.
Aluva to Palarivattom will take 24 minutes and till Maharajas will take 30 minutes.
The following Metro stations are currently open for commutation.
In the next phase, the route will be extended from Maharajas up to Petta. Work is in progress and is due to be completed by March 2019. On completion of this phase, it will be further extended from Petta till Thrippunithura.
The second phase extension has been approved by the Kerala Govt. This phase will connect JLN Stadium at Kaloor to Kakkanad, the IT Hub of Kochi. This phase will have a length of 11.2 km and 11 stations.
Kochi Metro is developed and run by Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL). The first phase was developed under the supervision of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and E. Sreedharan and with Elias George as the MD of KRML.
