Description:The Maha Shivaratri is a major festival celebrated at the Kanjiramattom Sree Mahadeva Temple, Thodupuzha. Kudamattam or the changing of colourfully decorated umbrellas, caparisoned elephants, traditional percussion and Panchari melam are part of the celebrations.
Shoolam kuthu or the tongue piercing is done by some devotees as a part of the penance.
