Kodiyettu on the Chothi asterisk of Medam and Arattu on the Thiruvonam asterisk of Medam. This usually falls in the month of April. The festival lasts 8 days.
Description:The Sri Dhanwanthari Temple at Maruthorvattom is one of the few temples where Lord Dhanwanthari, the god of Ayurveda is the presiding deity. Utsava Bali, Vilakku, Pallivetta and Arattu are the main rituals performed as a part of the Utsavam.
Temple art forms, especially Kathakali are performed on the festival days in addition to cultural events.
The temple is located about 4km south-east of the Cherthala Town.
