Pathiyamkulangara Devi temple, Vadackal festival flag hoisting on Vishu Day. Arattu on Pathamudayam or the tenth day from Vishu. Arattu procession begins at 5 pm and arrives at 9 pm.
Description:The ten-day utsavam period at Vadackal Pathiyamkulangara Devi temple has religious rituals like Sheeveli and Aarttu, religious discourses and also a host of cultural end entertainment events.
Elephant pageantry, melam, folk arts and fireworks add to the exuberance. Annadanam is done on all days of the festival.
Goddess Durga is the presiding deity at Pathiyamkulangara Devi temple.
