Krithi International book festival is an initiative of the Kerala State Department of Cooperation. Other highlights as follows.
Government educational institutions and rural libraries buying from the Fair in bulk.
Assured book purchase by co-operative institutions and banks.
Book coupon scheme to enable over a lakh students to own a book of their liking.
Fully air conditioned pavilion to accommodate more than 250 exhibitor units, at Kochi Marine Drive - one of the most sought after venues for Trade Fair in Kerala.
Segment wise zoning for different category of books viz. STM, General, Children, Vernacular, English, etc.
Associated Literary/ Knowledge Festival with participation of over 100 writers & think tanks from across the globe.
Integrated programs like the Food & Art festivals that would attract huge gatherings.
Fully integrated digital infrastructure to offer seamless participation experience to literary enthusiasts across the globe.
A 1000 seat program hall to facilitate book launches, author meets, book readings and musical & cultural evenings.

Who Should Attend?
1. Academic, Scientific, Technical, Medical, Humanities, Social Sciences Publishers
- Since this is a Government of Kerala directive, all the higher academic institutions and their libraries including universities, affiliated colleges – Art/ Humanities / Medical/ Engineering / Paramedical/ Technical/ Business – could purchase from the Fair. This would be an opportunity for ambitious publishers to step into newer segments and expand market footprint.
- Opportunity to introduce rare books, especially in the higher education sector.
- An opportunity to meet and network with academic librarians who would attend the two-day workshop being conducted specifically for them.
- Additional funds will be offered to CAPE (Co-operative Academy of Professional Education) institutions consisting of 11 professional colleges, for purchasing books from the Fair.
2. General, Trade, Children’s Book, Publishers
- Strategically planned marketing campaigns through digital, print, OOH and visual media to create mass awareness and participation.
- 100,000 free book coupons worth 2.5 crores will be distributed among students for making purchases from the International Book Fair.
- Co-operatives and banks will purchase books at the International Book Fair to add to their libraries.
3. Malayalam Publishers
- A land mark event in the history of Malayalam literature which, in the coming years is expected to be a bellwether in the country’s vernacular literary events.
- Many rural libraries will make their annual book purchases from the International Book Fair.
4. Learning Aids – Creators, Dealers, Agents
- Kerala is an education driven, tech-savvy state and so is a great market for innovative gadgets and applications.
